CRC Metal Armour: Ultimate Protection for your Metal Surfaces

CRC Metal Armour is a must-have, staple CRC product for your home or workshop.

It’s been designed as a durable zinc-rich primer and sealer that bonds directly to bare metal and most surfaces providing strong rust protection. CRC Metal Armour will dry to a clean gun-metal grey finish, ready for a top coat, or leave as is.

How does CRC Metal Armour work?

CRC Metal Armour is a zinc-rich primer and sealer, which creates a sacrificial coating over metal to prevent rusting. However, CRC Metal Armour is special because it has small amounts of binder to allow it to adhere to surfaces that are not just bare metal.

Ideal Applications

CRC Metal Armour can be used on cars, trucks, boats, trailers, iron, steel, equipment, tools, railings, fences, outdoor furniture + more. Anything that requires painting post rust treatment, or protecting metal surfaces,

Use case

You’ve got an old lawn mower, and the metal on the base has lost some paint and is now rusting which doesn’t look great and could be dangerous if the rust creates holes in the metal.
CRC Metal Armour along with CRC Rust Converter is perfect for this situation.

Firstly ensure the surface is clean and free from loose rust, dirt, and grease. If necessary, clean with a degreaser, and/or wire brush.

Spray any rusted areas with CRC Rust Converter following the directions stated on the can.

Mask off the area, and then apply CRC Metal Armour. The superior adhesion properties mean that it will stick to multiple different surfaces, and stay stuck!

Allow the coating to dry completely before exposing it to moisture or heavy use. This will ensure the best protection against corrosion. CRC Metal Armour is dry to the touch in 10-20 minutes and can be recoated after 15minutes.
Fully cured in 24 hours.

Leave it gun-metal grey or finish with a top coat - now your lawn mower is protected for many years to come.

The 350g can will cover around 2sqm. However, if you’re doing a bigger job, and require more product,
there’s also a 1L brush on tin available that will cover around 6sqm.
